Helping Hands DD Adult Day Program participants are typically 18+ years, often joining us after high school graduation. Participants enjoy friendships, music, movement, learning new skills, crafts, movie days, special events, and excursions most days of the week. We provide transportation to and from our DD adult day program in most cases.
Monthly calendars are sent home with members monthly for community outings, so members may choose which outing they would like to participate in. Our community partners are Plaza Bowl and Full Swing. Bowling is paid for by Helping Hands. We offer very flexible hours and are happy to go the extra step.
This service includes the provision of training and/or assistance in independent living skills or special developmental skills, orientation and mobility training, sensory-motor development, behavioral management, and supported employment.
